How does therapy work? Therapy is a time that you set aside to work on problem areas in your life. It is a space where you can feel seen and heard as you develop a therapeutic relationship of trust and safety with your Therapist. The Therapist will facilitate the healing process by providing tools, skills and activities that help get to the root of the symptoms that are causing distress. You will work alongside your therapist to create attainable goals and be in control of your process.
How long will I be in therapy? The length of time that you spend in therapy is totally up to you! At Nancy Rosas Therapy, we believe therapy is lifelong in which frequency of sessions will surely decrease and your wellness increases. We recommend bi-weekly sessions which will allow for much needed processing and completion of personal growth activities provided to you. Some clients, need extra support and may also come weekly. Therapy is for as long as you want it to be. Remember, therapy is not just for times of crisis but can be viewed as a maintenance tool to remain in good mental health.
How do I submit payment to you?We receive payment in the following way:
Ivy Pay- a text message will be sent to the number you provide with instructions to enter a debit card, credit card or FSA/HSA card number. This will allow Nancy Rosas Therapy to charge card for services provided at agreed upon rate.
Please note: Nancy Rosas Therapy requires a credit card to remain on file in accordance with policy. Payments for all services must be paid before the date and time of appointment.
Good Faith Estimate Notice You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider to choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What's your cancelation policy?Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the full session. The credit card on file will be charged.
What if I need Medication? I am not licensed to prescribe medication. There are times that some reactions to life circumstances require the use of medication. If you believe that this is something you may need, a referral will be made to a Psychiatrist or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for a full evaluation and possible prescribing of medication. We have tons of resources to guide you toward the right direction in this area.
Where can I find other providers? If you have private insurance call the number on the back of your insurance card labeled as Behavioral Health or Mental Health. You can search for other providers through the following Directories:
Do you provide emergency and crisis support?I do not provide 24-hour crisis services. If a life-threatening crisis should occur, contact a crisis hotline, call 911, or go to a hospital emergency room. As an individual provider who is not in a group practice, I am generally in therapy session during working hours and unavailable outside of working hours. If it is likely that you may need crisis support, let's discuss this so that I can be sure you have the level of care you need. You deserve support that matches your needs. Please see Crisis Resource tab.
Do you take Insurance?Yes! See Below for a list of insurance I accept.
What if you don't accept my insurance? If your insurance is not on the list below, I can still be your therapist, billing is just different. I am considered an "Out of Network" provider with all insurance companies. Many insurance plans/providers have out-of-network benefits in which your provider may pay part or full payment for therapy services. Remember, most insurance plans have deductibles that need to be met before coverage kicks in even if you are seeing someone "in-network". Be sure to call your insurance carrier to find out if you have a deductible to meet before you can receive reimbursement!
At your request, a super-bill can be provided for submission to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please be aware that insurance companies do require a diagnosis and other treatment disclosures in order for you to receive reimbursement. Clinical diagnosis made by your Therapist become a part of your permanent health record.
